WedBegin Legal

Terms & Conditions

These Terms govern access to and use of WedBegin by couples, vendors, planners, guests, contributors, buyers, sellers, event participants, and visitors. They include a binding arbitration agreement and class-action waiver.

Effective: August 16, 2026Version: 2026-08-16

1. Agreement and eligibility

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and WedBegin, LLC, a Connecticut limited liability company that operates the Platform under the WedBegin name. The Platform includes the websites, applications, public pages, communications, and services that link to these Terms. By creating an account, checking the acceptance box, purchasing or listing anything, contributing funds, accessing a restricted feature, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract. If you use the Platform for a company or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it, and “you” includes that organization. The Platform is currently intended for use connected to the United States. Do not use it if these Terms are unlawful where you are located.

If you do not agree, do not create or continue using an account. The signup checkbox is unchecked by default. WedBegin records the authenticated account, account type, policy versions, server time, request and device evidence, and the exact acceptance method to preserve an electronic record.

2. The Platform and WedBegin’s role

WedBegin provides technology for wedding planning, discovery, community interaction, listings, bundles, messaging, scheduling, contracts, payments, vendor payouts, events, shopping, RSVP tools, gift contributions, and related services. Unless a checkout or written agreement expressly identifies WedBegin as the seller or service provider, WedBegin is a marketplace and technology provider—not the wedding vendor, buyer, employer, agent, insurer, fiduciary, general contractor, partnership participant, or party to the contract between users.

Vendors, planners, product sellers, rental providers, couples, and other users are independent parties. They control their own offerings, pricing, availability, representations, performance, staffing, equipment, permits, insurance, taxes, cancellations, refunds, and compliance. WedBegin may facilitate a payment, contract, communication, or introduction without becoming responsible for the underlying goods or services.

We do not guarantee that a user is licensed, insured, safe, solvent, available, suitable, accurately described, or able to perform. Approval, verification, badges, imported reviews, rankings, or placement are not warranties or endorsements. You must perform your own diligence and make your own decision before hiring, paying, meeting, or sharing information with another user.

3. Accounts and security

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information and keep it updated.
  • Create only accounts you are authorized to control. Do not impersonate another person or business.
  • Protect your login method, connected email, devices, and recovery access. You are responsible for activity under your account unless prohibited by law.
  • Notify support@wedbegin.com promptly of unauthorized access, fraud, or a security incident.
  • Do not sell, transfer, share, or rent account access without written permission from WedBegin.

We may require identity, business, tax, insurance, license, payment, or other verification. Failure to provide requested information may limit or suspend features. Account approval can be revoked. You authorize us to rely on the information and instructions associated with your authenticated account.

4. Vendor obligations

A “Vendor” includes any professional, planner, seller, rental provider, advertiser, or business offering goods or services through the Platform. Each Vendor represents and agrees that it will:

  • have authority to operate and enter each transaction and maintain all licenses, registrations, permits, insurance, qualifications, and staff legally or contractually required;
  • provide truthful business, pricing, availability, portfolio, review, package, product, rental, tax, and service information and promptly correct material changes;
  • own or have permission to display all names, logos, media, music, testimonials, reviews, contract language, and other content it submits;
  • use written client contracts appropriate to its services and comply with those contracts, consumer law, advertising law, accessibility duties, safety rules, and professional standards;
  • perform services professionally, safely, timely, and without unlawful discrimination;
  • protect couple, guest, customer, and other vendor information and use it only for legitimate transaction or service purposes;
  • not manipulate availability, prices, reviews, fees, payouts, referrals, leads, or Platform metrics;
  • pay all taxes, personnel, subcontractors, insurance, chargebacks, refunds, claims, and expenses for which the Vendor is responsible; and
  • cooperate with support, payment, safety, intellectual-property, and dispute investigations.

Vendor-to-vendor bundles do not create a partnership, joint venture, employment relationship, or shared liability through WedBegin. Participating vendors must separately agree on responsibilities, pricing, lead ownership, substitutions, cancellation, and payment allocation.

5. Couple, guest, and buyer obligations

Couples, planners, guests, contributors, event attendees, buyers, and renters must provide accurate information, review listing and contract terms, make payments when due, communicate changes, use goods and services lawfully, and treat other users respectfully. You are responsible for deciding whether an offering fits your needs, budget, date, venue, and risk tolerance.

If you upload or enter information about a partner, guest, child, team member, customer, or other person, you represent that you have authority to provide it and direct its use. Do not collect unnecessary sensitive information through RSVP questions or public pages. An adult organizer is responsible for information about minors.

6. Bookings, contracts, and e-signatures

A booking is not final merely because users communicate, save a listing, join a bundle, or begin checkout. The applicable listing, order confirmation, signed contract, and payment status determine the transaction. Users must review the final scope, price, dates, deliverables, travel, substitutions, deadlines, cancellation terms, and refund terms before signing or paying.

Platform tools may create, route, store, or apply electronic signatures to contracts. By typing a name, drawing or uploading a signature, clicking an acceptance control, or otherwise using an electronic-signing flow, you intend to sign electronically and consent to receive and retain the record electronically. Vendor-provided contract language is supplied by the Vendor; WedBegin does not provide legal advice and is not responsible for whether a user-created contract is complete or enforceable.

Except where WedBegin is expressly identified as a contracting party, each underlying service or sale contract is between the applicable users. These Terms govern use of the Platform and do not replace transaction-specific terms.

7. Payments, fees, subscriptions, and payouts

Payments are processed by Stripe or another identified processor. By submitting a transaction, you authorize the processor and WedBegin to charge the selected payment method for the displayed price, taxes, Platform fees, deposits, shipping, incident deposits, subscription charges, or other disclosed amounts. Stripe’s terms and privacy policy apply to its processing. Vendors using Stripe Connect must also accept Stripe’s connected-account terms and provide required identity, business, bank, and tax information.

Prices, membership benefits, billing periods, Platform fee percentages, referral allocations, payout schedules, and included features are those displayed when you purchase or accept an offering. Vendor subscription fees and Platform fees may vary by tier. Except for offers expressly described as a one-time purchase, a subscription renews according to the frequency and cancellation terms shown at checkout. You authorize recurring charges until cancellation takes effect.

Vendor payouts may be delayed, reversed, netted, reserved, or withheld when reasonably necessary for processing delays, incomplete onboarding, refunds, disputes, chargebacks, suspected fraud, sanctions, legal process, negative balances, contractual allocation, or processor requirements. A displayed balance or estimate is not a guarantee that funds are immediately available. You authorize deduction of applicable Platform fees, processor fees, refunds, disputes, reserves, and agreed allocations.

You are responsible for taxes arising from your activity. WedBegin may collect, report, withhold, or remit taxes where required, but does not provide tax advice. Vendors must provide accurate taxpayer information and handle obligations not expressly assumed by WedBegin.

8. WedBegin Bucks

WedBegin Bucks is a closed-loop Platform credit. One Buck applies one U.S. dollar toward an eligible Platform purchase, subject to the balance actually credited after disclosed fees. Bucks are not a bank account, stored-value bank deposit, general-purpose payment instrument, investment, security, or government-insured product. They do not earn interest and are not eligible for cash withdrawal, person-to-person transfer, or use outside eligible WedBegin transactions.

Gift contributors must provide truthful contact information and authorize the displayed card charge. The checkout identifies the recipient, gross contribution, Platform fee, processor fee treatment, and resulting credit formula. Contributions may be subject to minimums and a maximum combined closed-loop value, currently $2,000 per wallet. A contributor message must be lawful and non-abusive.

Bucks may be reserved during checkout and released if checkout expires or fails. Refunds are handled according to the source transaction, processor capabilities, applicable law, and the relevant purchase terms. Bucks have no cash-redemption value except where law expressly requires otherwise. We may suspend wallet activity to investigate fraud, errors, disputes, sanctions, security incidents, or legal requirements.

9. Cancellations, refunds, and disputes

The cancellation and refund terms shown in the applicable listing, checkout, subscription disclosure, and user contract control the underlying transaction. Vendor refund policies are the Vendor’s responsibility. Unless a purchase disclosure or law states otherwise, Platform, advertising, membership, processing, and service fees are nonrefundable once the associated service or period has begun.

Contact the other transaction party and WedBegin support promptly before initiating a payment dispute when safe and practical. You must not submit a false chargeback or use a dispute to avoid a legitimate obligation. We may provide transaction, contract, communication, delivery, access, and consent records to processors or financial institutions handling a dispute.

WedBegin may facilitate communication or issue a discretionary credit but is not required to decide the merits of a dispute between users or reimburse losses caused by another user. Nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable refund or cancellation rights.

10. User content and license

“User Content” means profiles, listings, pricing, contracts, posts, reviews, comments, messages, responses, photos, videos, audio, logos, files, links, and other material a user submits or directs us to display. You retain ownership of your User Content.

You grant WedBegin a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, format, adapt for technical display, transmit, distribute, and publicly display User Content as necessary to operate, secure, promote, and improve the Platform and to follow your sharing settings. For public listings and public content, this license includes using reasonable excerpts and thumbnails in Platform search, social previews, and WedBegin marketing that promotes the Platform or the applicable listing. The license ends when the content is deleted from active systems, except for legal retention, backups, cached copies, already-created promotional materials, and content involving other users.

You represent that you own or control all rights needed for the license; the content is accurate where factual; releases or permissions have been obtained from identifiable people, clients, minors’ guardians, venues, musicians, photographers, and other rightsholders as required; and the content does not violate law, contract, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or intellectual-property rights.

We may remove, restrict, preserve, or disclose User Content under these Terms, the Privacy Policy, law, safety needs, or valid legal process. We are not obligated to monitor all content and do not endorse it.

11. Acceptable use and safety

You may not use the Platform to:

  • break law, facilitate fraud, evade taxes or fees, launder money, infringe rights, or violate sanctions or export restrictions;
  • harass, threaten, exploit, discriminate against, stalk, dox, impersonate, or endanger anyone;
  • post sexual exploitation material, nonconsensual intimate imagery, content involving child sexual abuse, or instructions facilitating serious harm;
  • upload malware, scrape or harvest data, probe security, bypass access controls, disrupt service, overload systems, reverse engineer protected portions, or automate access without permission;
  • send spam, deceptive promotions, phishing, pyramid schemes, fake leads, or unauthorized commercial communications;
  • manipulate reviews, votes, referrals, ad placement, search, prices, reservations, payments, refunds, identity, or analytics;
  • publish private or sensitive information without authorization; or
  • help another person do any prohibited act.

Report urgent danger to emergency services. Report Platform abuse, suspected exploitation, nonconsensual intimate imagery, fraud, or safety issues to support. We may cooperate with lawful investigations and preserve relevant records.

12. Reviews, rankings, and sponsored content

Reviews must reflect a genuine experience and honest opinion. Do not submit or arrange fake, misleading, retaliatory, undisclosed incentivized, or conflict-of-interest reviews. A reviewer must disclose a material relationship or incentive. Vendors may not suppress negative reviews through threats or contract terms prohibited by law.

Google reviews or other third-party material may be embedded or linked and remains governed by the source. “Featured,” “Sponsored,” or similar labels identify paid placement. Rankings, recommendations, badges, and search results may consider relevance, location, availability, profile completeness, subscription features, performance signals, or paid placement; they are not guarantees of quality or fit.

13. AI-assisted features

AI features may use third-party models, including Google Gemini, to create drafts, recommendations, quizzes, polls, posts, or other content. Output may be false, incomplete, biased, infringing, or unsuitable. It is not legal, financial, medical, safety, or professional advice. You must review and verify output before use and remain responsible for decisions and published content.

Do not place confidential, privileged, regulated, or highly sensitive information into an AI feature. You grant the limited rights necessary to process your prompt and context to return the requested output. WedBegin does not claim ownership of your prompt, but rights in generated output may be uncertain under applicable law.

14. Communications

You consent to receive electronic communications necessary to operate your account and transactions, including authentication, receipts, booking notices, contract notices, invitations, support, safety, payment, legal, and policy messages. These are part of the service and may continue where legally necessary after marketing opt-out.

Marketing email requires a lawful basis and must include an available opt-out method where required. You may unsubscribe from marketing without losing transactional messages. Acceptance of these Terms is not consent to marketing calls or texts. Any separate SMS or automated-call program must obtain the consent required by its own disclosure.

15. Intellectual property and copyright notices

The Platform software, design, branding, interfaces, compilations, and WedBegin-created content are owned by or licensed to WedBegin and protected by law. Subject to these Terms, WedBegin grants you a limited, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to use the Platform for its intended purposes. No other rights are granted.

If you believe content infringes copyright, send a notice to support@wedbegin.com containing: identification of the copyrighted work; identification and location of the challenged material; your contact information; statements of good-faith belief and accuracy under penalty of perjury; and the physical or electronic signature of an authorized person. We may forward the notice to the uploader. A counter-notice must satisfy applicable law.

We may terminate repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. The email above is an operational reporting channel; it is not a representation that a DMCA agent registration has been completed with the U.S. Copyright Office.

16. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Platform and submit an account-deletion request. For authenticated couple and vendor accounts, submission records a verified request, disables the public profile, and places the account in a deletion-requested state for processing. It does not represent that every related record is immediately erased. Transactions, contracts, consent receipts, messages involving others, fraud or security records, backups, legal holds, and records retained for tax, payment, dispute, and legal purposes may remain.

We may limit, suspend, hide, or terminate an account, listing, content, wallet, payout, integration, or feature if we reasonably believe it is necessary for safety, security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, payment risk, investigation, nonpayment, violation of these Terms, or protection of users or the Platform. Where practical and lawful, we may provide notice and an opportunity to contact support.

Provisions that by their nature should survive—including payment duties, licenses for retained records, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, dispute terms, and enforcement rights—survive termination.

17. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Platform is provided “as is” and “as available.” WedBegin disclaims all express and implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, noninfringement, quiet enjoyment, and warranties arising from course of dealing or usage.

We do not warrant uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or loss-free operation; accurate or complete listings, reviews, recommendations, availability, AI output, calculations, contracts, or communications; successful bookings, events, relationships, payments, refunds, or payouts; or the identity, quality, legality, safety, conduct, insurance, solvency, or performance of any user or third party. Wedding events and transactions can involve substantial cost and personal risk; use independent judgment, written contracts, backups, insurance, and qualified advisers.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so they apply only to the extent lawful.

18. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WedBegin and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost profits, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill, or data; replacement services; emotional distress; personal disputes; event disruption; or acts or omissions of users or third parties, even if advised of the possibility.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the aggregate liability of those parties for all claims arising from or relating to the Platform or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid directly to WedBegin in Platform or membership fees during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, excluding amounts passed through to other users, or (b) $100.

These limits do not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be limited, which may include certain intentional misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury, statutory consumer rights, or indemnification obligations depending on governing law.

19. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless WedBegin and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, licensors, and service providers from claims, demands, proceedings, losses, liabilities, damages, judgments, penalties, interest, and reasonable legal fees arising from: your User Content; your goods, services, staff, event, contract, transaction, taxes, or conduct; your violation of these Terms or law; your infringement or misuse of another person’s rights or information; or a dispute between you and another user. WedBegin may control the defense of a covered claim, and you will cooperate. You may not settle a claim imposing liability or admissions on an indemnified party without written consent.

20. Dispute resolution and arbitration

Please read this section carefully. It requires individual arbitration and limits the manner in which claims may be brought.

Before filing a claim, you and WedBegin agree to send a written notice describing the dispute, supporting facts, requested relief, and account email to support@wedbegin.com with “Legal Dispute Notice” in the subject. The parties will attempt in good faith to resolve it for 30 days.

If unresolved, any claim arising from or relating to these Terms or the Platform will be resolved by binding, individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under the rules applicable to the nature of the claim, except that either party may bring an eligible individual claim in small-claims court and either may seek temporary or injunctive relief in court for unauthorized access, misuse, or intellectual-property infringement. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section.

Arbitration will occur remotely, by documents, or in a reasonably convenient location unless the arbitrator requires otherwise. The arbitrator may award the same individual remedies a court could award but may not consolidate claims without all parties’ consent.

You and WedBegin waive trial by jury and agree to bring claims only in an individual capacity, not as a plaintiff or class member in a class, collective, consolidated, coordinated, mass, or representative action. If the class-action waiver is finally held unenforceable for a particular claim, that claim must proceed in court rather than arbitration.

You may opt out of this arbitration section by emailing support@wedbegin.com within 30 days after first accepting these Terms. Include “Arbitration Opt-Out,” your full name, account email, and a clear statement that you opt out. Opting out does not affect other Terms.

21. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except that the Federal Arbitration Act governs arbitration. If a dispute is not subject to arbitration, the parties consent to exclusive jurisdiction and venue in the state and federal courts located in Connecticut, unless applicable consumer law requires another forum.

22. Changes and electronic notices

We may update these Terms as the Platform, pricing, providers, risk, or law changes. The updated Terms will show a new effective date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice or request renewed acceptance where required. Changes do not retroactively alter a dispute that arose before the updated effective date unless both parties agree.

You consent to receive agreements, disclosures, notices, receipts, and records electronically. You may retain them by printing or saving a copy. You are responsible for keeping your email address current. If law requires paper delivery, contact support.

23. General terms

These Terms, the Privacy Policy, checkout disclosures, and any feature-specific terms form the agreement between you and WedBegin concerning the Platform. A separate contract between users remains separate. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary and the rest remains effective, subject to the special rule for the class-action waiver above.

Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without written consent; WedBegin may assign them in connection with a reorganization, financing, merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Headings are for convenience. “Including” means “including without limitation.” No agency, partnership, joint venture, employment, or fiduciary relationship is created by these Terms.

Service can be affected by events outside reasonable control, including internet, hosting, processor, utility, labor, weather, disaster, epidemic, government, civil disturbance, cyberattack, and vendor failures. We are not liable for delay caused by such events to the extent permitted by law.

24. Contact
